Antipsychotics (aka Neuroleptics) are psychotropic drugs that suppress mental (higher) nervous activity, emotional state, behavior and are able to eliminate delirium, hallucinations, and other manifestations of psychosis; however, neuroleptics do not violate consciousness, but suppress psychomotor arousal.
