Acecardol is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with antiplatelet properties. It works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which results in decreased formation of prostaglandins and thromboxanes, thereby reducing inflammation and preventing platelet aggregation.Indications:
- Prevention of myocardial infarction
- Prevention of ischemic stroke
- Treatment of unstable angina
- Prevention of thromboembolic complications after surgical interventions
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs
- Active peptic ulcer disease
- Hemorrhagic diathesis
- Severe renal or hepatic impairment
- Asthma induced by salicylates
- Children and adolescents with viral infections due to risk of Reye's syndrome
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Gastrointestinal discomfort, Nausea, Heartburn, Increased bleeding tendency, Allergic reactions, Bronchospasm, Tinnitus
Dosing and Administration:
For the prevention of myocardial infarction and ischemic stroke, the recommended dose is 50-100 mg once daily. For the treatment of unstable angina, the dose is 100-300 mg once daily. Tablets should be taken with water, preferably after meals.

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
