Active substance:

Metamizole Sodium + Caffeine

Pharmachologic effect:

Analgin-ExtraCap is a combination medication that provides analgesic and antipyretic effects due to metamizole sodium, and a stimulating effect due to caffeine. Metamizole sodium works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are involved in the transmission of pain and the regulation of body temperature. Caffeine enhances the analgesic effect and reduces fatigue and drowsiness.

Indications:

• Mild to moderate pain of various origins (headache, toothache, neuralgia, myalgia)
• Feverish conditions associated with infectious and inflammatory diseases
• Migraine

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to metamizole sodium, caffeine, or any other component of the drug
• Severe renal or hepatic impairment
• Blood disorders such as agranulocytosis or leukopenia
• Pregnancy and lactation
• Children under 12 years of age

Side effects:

In order of decreasing probability: Rare: Allergic reactions (rash, itching, urticaria), Rare: Hypotension, Very rare: Agranulocytosis, Very rare: Leukopenia, Very rare: Thrombocytopenia, Very rare: Anaphylactic shock

Dosing and Administration:

Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 capsules 1-3 times a day, depending on the severity of the pain or fever. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 capsules. The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days for pain relief and 3 days for fever reduction without consulting a doctor.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
