- Acute pain
- Chronic pain conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
- Postoperative pain
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to lornoxicam or any of the excipients
- Active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Severe hepatic or renal impairment
- History of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Third trimester of pregnancy
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Nausea, Dyspepsia, Abdominal pain, Diarrhea, Headache, Dizziness, Rash, Edema, Hypertension, Gastrointestinal bleeding
Dosing and Administration:
The recommended dose of lornoxicam is 8-16 mg per day, divided into two or three doses. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 16 mg. It is advised to take the tablets with water and preferably with food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.
