Diosmin is a flavonoid that primarily acts as a venotonic and vasoprotector. It helps to reduce venous distensibility and stasis, increases venous tone, and enhances lymphatic drainage. Contraindications:

In order of decreasing probability: Gastrointestinal disturbances, Nausea, Diarrhea, Headache, Dizziness, Skin rash
Dosing and Administration:
For chronic venous insufficiency, the recommended dose is 500 mg twice daily. For acute hemorrhoidal attacks, the recommended dose is 1000 mg three times daily for the first four days, then 1000 mg twice daily for the next three days. The tablets should be taken with meals.
