- Bacterial vaginosis

Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to metronidazole or other nitroimidazole derivatives

In order of decreasing probability: Nausea, Headache, Metallic taste, Diarrhea, Dizziness, Abdominal pain, Vomiting, Rash, Pruritus, Leukopenia
Dosing and Administration:
The usual adult dose is 250-500 mg orally every 8 hours for 7-10 days, depending on the type and severity of the infection. For specific infections, such as trichomoniasis, a single dose of 2 grams may be prescribed. Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with liver impairment.
