Pharmachologic effect:

Trimektal MB is an anti-ischemic medication that improves myocardial glucose utilization through inhibition of fatty acid metabolism. It helps maintain energy metabolism of heart and neurosensory tissues during episodes of ischemia, preventing a decrease in intracellular ATP levels and ensuring the proper functioning of ionic pumps and transmembrane sodium-potassium flow.

Indications:

Long-term treatment of stable angina pectoris
Adjunctive symptomatic treatment of vertigo and tinnitus
Adjunctive treatment of visual disturbances of a circulatory origin

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to trimetazidine or any of the excipients
Parkinson's disease, parkinsonian symptoms, tremors, restless leg syndrome, and other related movement disorders
Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min)
Pregnancy and lactation

Side effects:

In order of decreasing probability: Common: Dizziness, headache, Uncommon: Abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, Rare: Palpitations, extrasystoles, tachycardia, Very rare: Agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura

Dosing and Administration:

The recommended dose of Trimektal MB is one tablet twice daily, in the morning and evening, during meals. The dosage may be adjusted based on the patient's response and tolerance.
