Fluoxetine
Fluoxetine Indications:
- Depression (especially accompanied by fear), including when other antidepressants are ineffective
- obsessive-compulsive disorders
- bulimia nervosa
Recommended dosage:
The initial dose is 20 mg 1 time per day in the morningIf necessary- the dose may be increased after 3-4 weeks to 2-3 times per day
The maximum daily dose for adults is 80 mg.

Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that increases the level of serotonin in the brain, which helps improve mood and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.Indications:
- Major depressive disorder
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
- Bulimia nervosa
- Panic disorder
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to fluoxetine or any of the excipients
- Concurrent use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
- Severe renal impairment
- Uncontrolled epilepsy
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Nausea, Headache, Insomnia, Dizziness, Fatigue, Dry mouth, Diarrhea, Anxiety, Decreased appetite
Dosing and Administration:
The recommended starting dose for adults is 20 mg per day, taken in the morning. The dose may be increased after several weeks if there is no adequate response. Maximum dose should not exceed 80 mg per day. Capsules should be swallowed whole with water, with or without food.
Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
