Pharmachologic effect:

Ditsinon is a hemostatic agent that works by promoting platelet adhesion and restoring capillary resistance, thereby reducing bleeding time and blood loss.

Indications:


  • Prevention and treatment of capillary hemorrhages of various etiologies
  • Surgical procedures with a risk of bleeding
  • Menorrhagia

Contraindications:


  • Hypersensitivity to etamsylate or any of the excipients
  • Acute porphyria
  • Bronchial asthma
  • Thrombosis or thromboembolism

Side effects:


In order of decreasing probability: Nausea, Headache, Skin rash, Hypotension, Dizziness

Dosing and Administration:


The recommended dose for adults is 500 mg to 1000 mg (1 to 2 tablets) taken orally 3 to 4 times daily. The dosage may be adjusted based on the severity of the condition and the patient's response to treatment.
