Contraindications:

- Acute ulcerative colitis
- Bacterial enterocolitis caused by invasive organisms including Salmonella, Shigella, and Campylobacter
- Pseudomembranous colitis associated with the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics
- Children under 2 years of age

Dosing and Administration:
