Hydroxyzine may also be used to control nausea and vomiting, or to treat allergic skin reactions such as hives or contact dermatitis.Indications:

Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to hydroxyzine or any component of the formulation

Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Drowsiness, Dry mouth, Headache, Dizziness, Blurred vision, Constipation, Confusion, Urinary retention, Tachycardia
Dosing and Administration:
For adults, the typical dosage for anxiety and tension is 50 to 100 mg orally up to four times a day. For sedation, 50 to 100 mg is administered orally. For children over 6 years, the dosage is 50 to 100 mg per day in divided doses. For children under 6 years, the dosage is 50 mg per day in divided doses. Dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's response and tolerance.
