- Hypertension

Contraindications:
- Severe asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Severe bradycardia
- Second or third-degree AV block
- Cardiogenic shock
- Severe peripheral arterial circulatory disorders
- Untreated pheochromocytoma
- Metabolic acidosis
- Hypersensitivity to bisoprolol or any of the excipients
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Fatigue, Dizziness, Headache, Bradycardia, Hypotension, Cold extremities, Nausea, Diarrhea, Constipation, Muscle weakness
Dosing and Administration:
The usual starting dose is 5 mg once daily. Depending on the patient's response, the dose may be increased to 10 mg once daily. In some cases, a dose of 20 mg once daily may be necessary. The tablet should be taken in the morning with or without food, and should be swallowed whole with water.
