- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Erosive esophagitis
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
- Prevention of gastric ulcers caused by NSAIDs
- Helicobacter pylori eradication to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or any other benzimidazole
- Severe liver impairment
- Concomitant use with nelfinavir
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Headache, Diarrhea, Nausea, Flatulence, Abdominal pain, Constipation, Dry mouth, Dizziness, Allergic reactions
