Pharmachologic effect:

Indications:

Hypertension
Chronic stable angina
Vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's angina)

Contraindications:

Severe hypotension
Shock (including cardiogenic shock)
Obstruction of the outflow tract of the left ventricle (e.g., high-grade aortic stenosis)
Hemodynamically unstable heart failure after acute myocardial infarction
Known hypersensitivity to amlodipine or any of the excipients

Side effects:

In order of decreasing probability: Edema, Fatigue, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Somnolence, Dizziness, Palpitations, Flushing

Dosing and Administration:
