Ask-Cardio is an antiplatelet agent that inhibits platelet aggregation, thereby reducing the risk of thrombus formation. It works by irreversibly inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which results in decreased synthesis of thromboxane A2, a promoter of platelet aggregation.Indications:
- Prevention of myocardial infarction
- Prevention of stroke
- Reduction of the risk of transient ischemic attacks
- Prevention of thromboembolic complications after surgical interventions on the heart and blood vessels
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or any other component of the drug
- Active peptic ulcer disease
- Hemorrhagic diathesis
- Severe renal or hepatic impairment
- Asthma induced by salicylates or other NSAIDs
- Children and adolescents under 16 years of age
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Gastrointestinal discomfort, Nausea, Dyspepsia, Increased bleeding tendency, Allergic reactions, Bronchospasm, Gastrointestinal ulceration
Dosing and Administration:
