Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to enalapril or any other ACE inhibitors

- Pregnancy
- Severe renal impairment
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Cough, Nausea, Hypotension, Hyperkalemia, Renal impairment, Angioedema
Dosing and Administration:
The initial dose for hypertension is usually 5 mg once daily. The maintenance dose is typically 10 to 40 mg per day, administered in a single dose or two divided doses. For heart failure, the initial dose is 2.5 mg once daily, with a maintenance dose of 5 to 20 mg per day in divided doses. Dosage should be adjusted based on patient response and tolerance.
