Dosing and Administration:

For adults, the usual starting dose is 600 mg per day, which can be increased by 200 mg every 3 days until the desired clinical effect is achieved. The maintenance dose typically ranges from 1000 mg to 2000 mg per day, divided into two doses. For children, the starting dose is usually 10-15 mg/kg/day, with gradual increases until optimal control is achieved.
