Pharmachologic effect:

Binelol is a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker with vasodilating properties, primarily used to manage hypertension and heart failure. It reduces heart rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure, improving cardiovascular function.

Indications:


  • Hypertension
  • Chronic heart failure

Contraindications:


  • Severe bradycardia
  • Cardiogenic shock
  • Severe hepatic impairment
  • Hypersensitivity to nebivolol or any of the excipients
  • Sick sinus syndrome
  • Second and third degree heart block
  • Untreated pheochromocytoma
  • Metabolic acidosis

Side effects:


In order of decreasing probability: Headache, Dizziness, Fatigue, Nausea, Bradycardia, Hypotension, Diarrhea, Constipation, Dyspnea, Rash

Dosing and Administration:


The recommended starting dose of Binelol is 5 mg once daily, with or without food. In patients with renal insufficiency or mild to moderate hepatic impairment, the recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to 10 mg once daily if needed.

Storage:


Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
