Enalapril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that works by relaxing blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow.Indications:
- Hypertension

Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to enalapril or any other ACE inhibitors

Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Cough, Nausea, Hypotension, Hyperkalemia, Renal impairment, Rash, Angioedema
Dosing and Administration:
The usual starting dose for hypertension is 5 mg once daily. The dose may be adjusted based on blood pressure response, typically ranging from 10 mg to 40 mg per day, administered in a single dose or two divided doses. For heart failure, the initial dose is 2.5 mg once daily, which may be increased to a maintenance dose of 20 mg per day in one or two divided doses.
