- Hypertension

- Left ventricular dysfunction
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to enalapril or any other ACE inhibitors
- History of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor treatment
- Hereditary or idiopathic angioedema
- Pregnancy
- Severe renal impairment
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Cough, Nausea, Hypotension, Hyperkalemia, Renal impairment, Angioedema
Dosing and Administration:
The usual starting dose for hypertension is 5 mg once daily. The dose may be adjusted according to the patient's response, typically ranging from 10 to 40 mg per day, administered in a single dose or two divided doses. For heart failure, the initial dose is usually 2.5 mg once daily, with a maintenance dose of 5 to 20 mg per day in divided doses.
