Dosing and Administration:
The recommended starting dose for hypertension is 5 mg once daily. The dose may be adjusted based on blood pressure response, typically ranging from 10 to 40 mg per day, administered in a single dose or two divided doses. For heart failure, the initial dose is 2.5 mg once daily, which can be gradually increased to a maintenance dose of 20 mg per day in divided doses, based on patient tolerance and response.
