- Chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction
- Stable angina pectoris in patients with normal sinus rhythm
Contraindications:
- Severe bradycardia (heart rate < 60 bpm)
- Acute myocardial infarction
- Cardiogenic shock
- Severe hypotension
- Severe hepatic impairment
- Pacemaker dependence
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Hypersensitivity to ivabradine or any of the excipients
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Bradycardia, Atrial fibrillation, Visual disturbances (phosphenes), Headache, Dizziness, Hypertension, Nausea
Dosing and Administration:
The recommended starting dose is 5 mg twice daily with meals. Depending on the patient's response, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 7.5 mg twice daily. Dose adjustments should be based on heart rate and clinical response.
