- Osteoarthritis

Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to meloxicam or any excipients
- History of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Active gastrointestinal bleeding or peptic ulcer
- Severe liver or kidney impairment
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Children under 16 years of age
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Nausea, Abdominal pain, Dyspepsia, Diarrhea, Headache, Dizziness, Rash, Edema, Hypertension, Gastrointestinal bleeding
Dosing and Administration:
The recommended starting dose of meloxicam is 7.5 mg once daily. Depending on the patient's response, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 15 mg once daily. The tablets should be taken with water, preferably with food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.
