Minolexin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the tetracycline class. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, thereby stopping their growth and reproduction.Indications:
- Acne vulgaris
- Respiratory tract infections

Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to minocycline or other tetracyclines

Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Dizziness, Photosensitivity, Skin rash, Headache, Vertigo
Dosing and Administration:
The recommended dosage for adults is 100 mg every 12 hours. For children over 8 years of age, the dosage is 4 mg/kg initially followed by 2 mg/kg every 12 hours. Capsules should be taken with plenty of water to reduce the risk of esophageal irritation and ulceration.
