Analgin is a non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation, thereby providing relief from pain and reducing fever.Indications:
- Mild to moderate pain (headache, toothache, muscle pain)
- Fever associated with colds and other infectious and inflammatory diseases
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to metamizole sodium or other pyrazolones
- Agranulocytosis
- Bone marrow suppression
- Severe hepatic or renal impairment
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Children under 10 years of age
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Rare: Allergic reactions (rash, itching), Very rare: Agranulocytosis, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, Rare: Hypotension, Very rare: Anaphylactic shock
Dosing and Administration:
Adults and children over 15 years: 250-500 mg 2-3 times a day. Maximum single dose is 1 g, maximum daily dose is 3 g. For children aged 10-14 years: 150-300 mg 2-3 times a day. The tablets should be taken with water, preferably after meals.
Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
