Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.Indications:
- Relief of mild to moderate pain
- Reduction of fever

Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any of the excipients
- History of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Active or history of recurrent peptic ulcer/hemorrhage
- Severe heart failure, hepatic failure, or renal failure
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Nausea, Dizziness, Headache, Indigestion, Diarrhea, Constipation, Rash, Edema, Hypertension, Heartburn
Dosing and Administration:
For adults and children over 12 years: 200-400 mg every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 1200 mg in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor.
