Indications:


  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis

Contraindications:


  • Hypersensitivity to meloxicam or any excipients in the formulation
  • History of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs
  • Active gastrointestinal bleeding or peptic ulcer
  • Severe hepatic or renal impairment
  • Pregnancy and lactation
  • Children under 15 years of age

Side effects:


In order of decreasing probability: Nausea, Dyspepsia, Diarrhea, Headache, Dizziness, Skin rash, Edema, Elevated liver enzymes

Dosing and Administration:


The recommended starting dose of meloxicam for adults is 7.5 mg once daily. Depending on the patient's response, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 15 mg once daily. It should be taken with water and food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.

Storage:


Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
