- Acute pain
- Symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis
- Primary dysmenorrhea
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to nimesulide or any of the excipients
- History of allergic reactions to aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Active gastric or duodenal ulcer
- Severe hepatic impairment
- Severe renal impairment
- History of cerebrovascular bleeding
- Congestive heart failure
- Patients with fever and/or flu-like symptoms
- Children under 12 years of age
- Pregnancy and lactation
Side effects:
In order of decreasing probability: Common: Nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, Uncommon: Gastritis, constipation, rash, Rare: Hepatitis, jaundice, renal failure, Very rare: Anaphylactic shock, Stevens-Johnson syndrome
Dosing and Administration:
The recommended dose is 100 mg twice daily after meals. The duration of treatment should be as short as possible, and not exceed 15 days.
