Convalis®

Convalis® is an antiepileptic drug, anticonvulsant, that is also used for the symptomatic treatment of neuropathic pain. Like all gabapentin preparations, Convalis® requires a gradual individual selection of an effective dosage. The efficacy of gabapentin in neuropathic pain of various origins has been studied in a large number of studies in conditions such as acute postoperative pain, postherpetic neuralgia, diabetic neuropathy, neuropathic pain in cancer, phantom pain, Guillain-Barré syndrome, pain due to spinal cord injury. Compared to other adjuvant analgesics, gabapentin is considered to be well tolerated with fewer side effects and minimal drug interactions.
